Professor Jennifer Aaker, one of the co-authors of The Dragonfly Effect and the driving force behind the 100K Cheeks initiative, is scheduled to participate in a variety of conferences and events to promote the 100K Cheeks cause.

March

3/11/2011 – Accenture International Women’s Day

Jennifer will give a keynote speech at the Accenture International Women’s Day event in San Francisco. In addition, members of 100K Cheeks will also attend the event to conduct a registration drive in conjunction with Jennifer’s talk.

3/17/2011 – YGL Silicon Valley Innovation Summit

Jennifer will speak about “creating infectious action” to the forum of Young Global Leaders, a unique, multistakeholder community of exceptional young leaders who share a commitment to shaping the global future.

3/24/2011 – New Orleans Entrepreneurship Week

Jennifer is scheduled to speak about utilizing social media for good during one of the events of New Orleans Entrepreneurship Week.

3/30/2011 – Web 2.0 Expo

Jennifer will give a keynote speech as part of the five-day Web 2.0 Expo conference in San Francisco. Her talk will be about “Creating Infectious Action”, and how to use social media to promote causes like 100K Cheeks. Read more about the Web 2.0 Expo HERE

4/13/2011 – Stanford Executive Briefings Series

Jennifer has been invited to participate in the Stanford Executive Briefings series, a breakfast series with senior business leaders from around Silicon Valley and abroad, where she will discuss her work with 100K Cheeks.

May

5/11/2011 – Luncheon with the Stanford Women’s Club of San Francisco

Jennifer will have lunch and discuss the importance of the 100K Cheeks cause with members of the Stanford Women’s Club of SF.

5/14/2011 – TEDx Silicon Valley

Jennifer is scheduled to speak at the TEDx Silicon Valley conference. In addition, the 100K Cheeks team will hold a cheek swab registry at the event in conjunction with Jennifer’s presentation.

5/21/2011 – STAN (Science, Technology and Nature) Event

Jennifer will give a presentation at the STAN conference at Stanford. In conjunction with her talk, members of 100K Cheeks will be on hand to hold a cheek swab event to register additional donors.

9/2/2011 – Business of Design Conference

Jennifer will be a keynote speaker at the 8th Annual Business of Design Conference in New York City, where she will discuss the topic of “Creating Infectious Action.”

9/17/2011 – Medicine 2.0 Conference @ Stanford

Jennifer will be the keynote speaker at the Medicine 2.0 Conference, an international conference on the use of web applications and social media in biomedical research and health-care delivery.

December

12/8/2010 – Jennifer gave a talk on The Dragonfly Effect and held a bone marrow registration drive at NMIMS, one of India’s leading research and teaching institutions. The event took place in Mumbai: BJ Hall, NMIMS VL Mehta Road, Juhu, Mumbai 400-056

12/9/2010 – Jennifer spoke at the Stanford Executive Circle Summit, where she gave a talk on the Dragonfly Effect and mentioned the efforts of the 100K Cheeks group. Read more about the Summit HERE

12/10/2010 – Jennifer was a featured speaker at The INK Conference in India, an annual event given in association with TED. She spoke about the Dragonfly Effect and the importance of increasing the international marrow registry.
